How is this Hulk going to use his hands? Well, let's recap with an overview of the exoskeleton. (Endoskeleton? Who knows.)
Another beautiful piece of artistry from yours truly. LOLOLOL. It's crude but it gets the point across.
Here's another one.
Here's another one.
The Hulk needs lower arms and hands supported by the skeleton. Hands that move as realistically as possible.
A friend of mine Wendy Powell attended Dick Smiths FX school a looooong time ago and back at the beginning of this project, she let me copy some pages out of his instructional book. This one diagram alone is a treasure of information.

Seriously though, this is exactly what I needed. Below is a pic of the frame for extended hand rigs that have a lazy susan AND a hinge at the wearer's wrist, so the Hulk's forearm can bend (like an elbow) AND twist as it normally would.

So I don't have an old picture of the finger rig in a pristine state, but I do still have ONE of the two that were made. I wish I'd never thrown away the other one, but I can't tell you how many times I've played with this thing and taken inspiration that one day the Hulk project would actually get made.
Having updated the project, my methods are updated as well. I began to model in Fusion360.
Not too shabby for 10 years, right?
You'll notice it mirrors the Dick Smith diagram from above, but improves on the fingers.
I'm still working on refining the design when I'm bored with other parts of the costume. Eventually I'll print it out and test it.
I'll probably simplify the finger design though.
